Norwegian aviator Hjalmar Riiser-Larsen and one of Amundsen's brothers can be seen among the guests, many of whom are clearly quite tipsy. The merrymakers come out into the garden for coffee and liqueur, kick up their heels for the benefit of the camera, and bid the viewer a friendly farewell from the steps.
